Why did you choose to join Robertson Facilities Management?

I wanted to work for an established company that invests in training and encourages career development.

Describe a typical day:

I like the variety of my role, I get to work with lots of different teams across the business. A typical day would be raising purchase orders and sales orders on Access Dimensions. I regularly use the FM portal and ensure that all information is stored centrally. I help with setting up new contracts by creating files, log books and collating notice board information.

What projects have you worked on so far?

Robertson has secured multiple new contracts and I have been involved during the mobilisation period, helping to collate key contract documents. The contracts I have worked on cover a variety of sectors and a widespread geography across the North of England.

What have you learnt so far?

I have familiarised myself with key Robertson platforms such as Robertzone and the FM portal. I have also learnt how to use the software programme Access Dimensions to raise POs, sales orders etc. I enjoyed getting involved in the creation of employment packs for a new contract in Redcar, this gave me an insight into some key HR issues.

Where do you see yourself in five years' time?

In 5 years' time, I would like to be in a management role within Robertson. I will continue to learn more about the business and develop my understanding of facilities management to ensure I am developing skills to enable me to do this.

What's the best thing about working for Robertson FM?

For me, the best thing about working for Robertson FM is the fact that it is so varied. There is always lots going on and I am always learning new things. I also really enjoy being part of Team Robertson, everyone is friendly and approachable – they have made me feel welcome.
