Summary
New facilities for a growing area
In 2003, Robertson Facilities Management started a 25-year contract with Ingleby Barwick Community Campus (IBCC), delivering a wide range of FM services. The campus was originally built by Robertson North East, and funded by Robertson Capital Projects.
The growing community needed extra education facilities following the development of over 3000 homes in the area.
Serving 1000 pupils and the community
We provide services for a two-school campus that comprises All Saints Academy and Myton Park Primary School. All Saints caters for 700 pupils aged 11–16 and 60 staff; while Myton Park accommodates 300 pupils from nursery/reception class to age 11, with 20 staff. All Saints also incorporates a public library serving the local community.
Our team of 25 delivers a range of services including planned and reactive building maintenance, energy management, waste disposal and cleaning. Catering services have been extended to include a healthy eating initiative for pupils.
As part of our ongoing partnership with IBCC, we also help the school with lifecycle planning so that maintenance work such as decoration and refurbishment is scheduled appropriately.
A hub for the new community
Ingleby Barwick Community Campus is now well established as a hub for the new community.
Barry Park, Robertson FM Contracts Manager, said: "We are delighted with how the team has embraced the holistic nature of the partnership. We have been able to deliver a high standard of work so far, and we are excited to continue providing our wide range of services for another decade."
Over the course of the ongoing contract, the Robertson FM team has formed a very good relationship with the client at IBCC. Site staff regularly receive fantastic feedback, which is testament to the excellent work they do on site.
Most recently, they received a letter from a pupil who thanked them for looking after Myton Park Primary School: "Thank you for cleaning and protecting our school. You open and close the gates for us every day to ensure we are all safe. You walk around school with smiles on your faces, always happy to help. You are always kind and helpful."
