Just weeks after announcing a key senior business appointment, the commercial development arm of Robertson Group has made another high profile hire to increase their presence in the North of England. The 29 year-old from Manchester joins from the Crosslane Group.

I made the move to Robertson because The Groups financial strength, development team and construction delivery capability have combined to create a formidable property development business and Robertson is a company I wanted to be a part of.

Speaking of his appointment, Tom adds: “Robertson Property has substantial growth ambitions and is in the process of expanding further in The North West and further south into the East Midlands and Yorkshire to replicate its business models in Scotland and the North East and that represents a real opportunity for me.”

“Robertson takes a flexible approach to property development and is prepared to consider a range of development models across multiple property sectors. I plan to use my knowledge and skills from the student housing sector to help Robertson achieve more in this asset class, while also utilising my network of contacts to help the organisation grow in the North West.”

Tom will be based in Robertson’s Oldham office and working with Development Director Dan White will cover developments across the north of England.

Robertson Property’s Managing Director Will Hean said: “As a company we have already carved a name for ourselves as the go-to people for delivery of student accommodation in the North East, and I believe that with Tom’s appointment, we can accelerate opportunities across the North of the England and into the Midlands.

“It is no secret that we have major strategies in place to enhance our offering, and I’m looking forward to seeing these plans through with my new team.”

During the last 12 months Will and his team have secured a number of substantial development opportunities both in Scotland and The North of England including the Premier Inn at Whitley Bay and Dundee Waterfront.
