Hampton by Hilton Westhill complete

The new 173-room Westhill hotel is part of a £34million-plus investment, creating more than 100 jobs, which saw a 155-bedroom Hampton by Hilton open in Dyce near Aberdeen Airport in February.

Speaking at last week's official opening in Westhill, general manager Mike Johnstone said: "We are delighted to be expanding the presence of Hampton by Hilton.

"Guests will arrive to a bright welcome from the team, as well as comfortable and modern accommodations."

The two new north-east hotels have joined a brand portfolio of more than 2,000 hotels across 17 countries.

They are the result of an investment by international property developer Bricks Capital which adds more than 300 rooms to an increasingly competitive hotel market in and around Aberdeen.

It takes Bricks' investment in Scottish properties to date to £100million.

Bricks, with offices in Hong Kong, London, Manchester and Glasgow, is helping the US-based Hilton group grow its Hampton brand in the UK.

The development has created 60 jobs.

Robertson Eastern constructed both hotels.

Hilton's other brands include Hilton Hotels and Resorts, Doubletree by Hilton, Hilton Garden Inn and Waldorf Astoria Hotels and Resorts.
