The award places Robertson Group – with our 2250 employees across 21 businesses – among the top seven per cent of all IIP-accredited businesses. In their review, IIP reserved particular praise for our 'industry-leading approach', with our employees highlighting Robertson's focus on people development and sustainability.

Robertson has nine offices across Scotland and England, and are currently working on a variety of major projects including the creation of the new £333m AECC in Aberdeen and a new state-of-the-art hospital in Orkney that will transform healthcare on the islands.

Bill Robertson, founder and Executive Chairman, Robertson Group, said: "Last year we celebrated our 50th year as a business and welcomed our 2000th employee. That was a huge milestone and for us to now be awarded Gold Accreditation is further proof of our commitment to our people.

"Across our industry, the ongoing skills shortage remains a significant challenge, and at Robertson we are doing everything we can to attract and retain the best talent. In order to do that, we have to ensure we stand out from the crowd. We have been awarded the IIP Gold accreditation in recognition of the fact that we don't just talk about good practice – we embody it throughout the entire Group."

Peter Russian, Chief Executive of Remarkable, the home for Investors in People for in Scotland, said: "This is a fantastic achievement for Robertson. I would like to congratulate the organisation and its people on their commitment to continuous improvement."

Carole Arnot, Assessor for Investors in People, said: "The focus Robertson Group has on external communities and sustainable success is an admirable approach. There is a real feel of innovation and change and a workforce who are keen to deliver more and are able to step up to the plate for new and different ways of working.
