The building is located at Kings Wharf, Birkenhead, with a view of the award-winning Mersey waterfront.

Serving some of the world’s largest wind turbines

Burbo Bank Extension is able to power over 230,000 homes using 32 of the world’s largest, most powerful wind turbines. These were installed in 2016 in an area covering 40km2 in Liverpool Bay.

The building will be used for the storage of materials and equipment required for the ongoing maintenance of the wind farm. It will also have office facilities and parking for staff.

The facility will comprise a storage warehouse along with office space, changing rooms, and welfare and ancillary facilities across two floors. Once operational, it will provide DONG Energy with a base for 45 full-time staff.
