Summary
Transforming public sector assets for long term sustainability
Robertson works with Bolton Council through the Clear Futures partnership to transform the Council’s corporate assets and estate over the long term. The goal is to best serve the needs of the people of Bolton in the most sustainable way.
As part of this partnership, Robertson carried out a rigorous 100-day development plan, capturing asset management data, giving us detailed knowledge of the state and efficiency of the council’s estate.

Detailed feasibility studies to secure funding
Diligently gathering asset data allowed us to work with our Clear Futures partner, AECOM to propose the most effective decarbonisation measures for 12 buildings, at no cost to the council. These feasibility studies were backed by Low Carbon Skills Funding secured by Robertson.
Securing grant funding from the Public Sector Decarbonisation Fund covered the full capital cost of ‘category 1’ decarbonisation measures —almost £2.5m worth of heating systems.
