Customer-focused facilities management service
After successfully retaining the FM contract for the fourth consecutive time, Robertson continues to deliver services supporting the activities of the Centre’s various tenants and visitors.
The Centre for Health Science is a multi-disciplinary facility for training all healthcare professions in next-generation techniques. It is a vibrant community hub which demands high-quality FM services.
Delivering first-class FM services
From the building's opening in 2006, Robertson Facilities Management has secured this contract for the last 13 years. During this time, the contract has gone through competitive procurement tender exercises in which Robertson FM have been successful each time.
We employ all our staff locally where possible and use local businesses for the supply of goods and materials on our projects in the north of Scotland. The Centre for Health Science benefits from the existing long-term relationships we have with suppliers procured from previous projects like the New Craigs and Invergordon hospitals. As a result, we were able to install a new bespoke room booking software procured from a local business. Our approach also reduces carbon miles as suppliers deliver in one trip.
Effective partnership working
The Centre was developed through a collaborative partnership led by Highlands and Islands Enterprise to provide a state-of-the-art facility for the burgeoning health science community in the north of Scotland.
Over the contract period, our Contract Manager has introduced health and safety forums and joint client liaison meetings that support the needs of the Centre's diverse customer base. Each customer has different needs and we have developed an open consultative approach to managing the project, where a high degree of coordination, co-operation and lateral thinking is required.
FM services provided
Robertson FM provides hard and soft FM services, including energy management and monitoring, reception and minor works services in support of customer variations.
We provide planned and reactive property maintenance services which include fabric maintenance; ranging from joinery work, decorating and minor works service.
