A new chapter for the site
Completion of the Fulhame Building marked the first phase – and first lettable space – of an ongoing transformation programme for the 32-hectare former Michelin Dundee site. Formed to drive growth and diversity in the Scottish economy while also addressing the global climate emergency, MSIP will secure jobs and bring together industry and academia with a focus on sustainable mobility and decarbonisation.
Robertson continued its relationship with MSIP – the sebsequent stage in the Innovation Parc’s ambitious, ongoing £20m plan saw the delivery of Innovation Labs and a Skills Academy, which included classrooms, workshops and a 1,750 m2 versatile space for learning and live presentations. A hydrogen production facility and refuelling centre, and community and events spaces also form part of the wider regeneration.
Sustainability
The tenants at the Fulhame Building align with MSIP's sustainable mobility and decarbonisation mission as it looks to create a greener future, through innovation for people, place and planet.
Adding value at all stages
Working in collaboration with the Procurement Hub Major Projects framework, MSIP and the consultant team, Robertson ensured all phases of the MISP development project are designed to achieve maximum value for money.
Michelin Dundee has played a pivotal role in the region for years and Robertson contributed to this legacy through local supply chain employment, as well as local community engagement throughout the project, including schools, colleges, universities and employability initiatives.
