Summary
A structure in an iconic style
Robertson Civil Engineering delivered a new access bridge and road at the famous Glenlivet Distillery in Ballindalloch.
The project saw a reinforced concrete bridge, clad with locally sourced natural stone, introduced into the traditional surroundings of the distillery as well as the re-alignment of the public road.
Historic style to enhance visitor experience
The bridge was designed by architects Archial Norr in the style of The Glenlivet's brand signifier – the historic packhorse bridge that spans the River Livet – and will form the entrance to the Visitor Centre.
The Bridge formed part of a wider programme of works taking place at the Glenlivet Distillery which have enhanced the production facilities and the visitor experience.
The three-arch bridge saw a team of 20 expert engineers, surveyors and tradesmen work to erect the structure over a 20 week work programme.
