A collaborative, innovative research hub
We created a new 4,790m2 three-storey, two-wing facility that is a collaborative initiative between the University of Dundee, Scottish Enterprise, and other key stakeholders, which is set to foster innovation and high growth in the biomedical industry.
The development has responded to the increasing demand for biotechnology and pharmaceutical research and development facilities in Scotland.
This world-class life sciences environment has been designed to attract innovative, entrepreneurial expertise, so that high-growth companies can be formed, providing new treatments and technologies, as well as jobs for the region.
We delivered the hub to a modular design, enabling companies to lease the right amount of laboratory and office space they need to grow.
MedTech R&D Unit - Wilson House
Robertson has developed a unique medical technologies innovation environment, through a refurbishment at Ninewells Hospital and Medical School.
Refurbished in 2024, Wilson House in Dundee Medipark (near Ninewells), now brings together the University, NHS, and industry to enable new technologies to move quickly from prototyping to commercialization to adoption by the NHS, ultimately generating new wealth for the region and improving health outcomes.
This new MedTech R&D unit offers unique capabilities such as cadaveric facilities, state of the art imaging and ISO-certified prototype production to pre-clinical level.
