Construction on a dense, busy campus site
Our team met the challenges of working on a constrained site in a densely populated and busy hospital, teaching and research campus.
A 10m change in ground level, alongside a small access and set-down area, meant meticulous project planning and logistics were required. Taking a Lean Construction approach ensured efficient delivery of the project within such a tight space.
We also ensured complete safety while working around extensive underground utility services and alongside one of the city's largest main electricity sub-stations, serving approximately half of Aberdeen.
Business, universities, and the NHS in partnership
ONE BioHub has been developed in partnership with industry, education and healthcare partners to provide leaders in new, early-stage and established businesses with specialist facilities and support to grow and stay in the region.
The project is led by private sector economic development catalyst Opportunity North East (ONE). ONE BioHub is funded by ONE, the UK Government, the Scottish Government and Scottish Enterprise. The University of Aberdeen and NHS Grampian are strategic partners and have provided the site for ONE BioHub.
