Paving the way for a new cinema for Bradford

Paving the way for a new cinema for Bradford

The construction of a shell and core scheme for a brand new cinema at Bradford’s Broadway shopping centre will be delivered by Robertson Yorkshire and East Midlands.

Robertson Yorkshire and East Midlands has been appointed by Meyer Bergman for the project.

Our work will pave the way for a wider scheme that will include a seven-screen cinema, which will be operated by The Light, as well as four restaurants, adding 40,000 sq ft to the development in total.

Paul Turner, regional managing director of Robertson Yorkshire and East Midlands, said: "This project is a continuation of the great work that has already taken place to regenerate Bradford's city centre and further enhance the leisure offer in the city.

"We're excited to commence work on the site and from a business perspective, continue to grow our reputation in the region."

Since opening in November 2015, the Broadway Centre now offers over 70 shops and eateries.

Work has already been underway to clear the area for construction, with the development scheduled for completion this year.
