Robertson Supply Chain Outstanding Contribution Awards 2024

Last night (Thursday 26 September) we hosted our first-ever Robertson Supply Chain Outstanding Contribution Awards at the Crowne Plaza in Glasgow, Sponsored by Constructionline.

Over 250 guests attended the sold-out event to celebrate and recognise the outstanding contributions of our valued supply chain partners.

Welcoming everyone to the event, Chief Operating Officer Brian McQuade, said: “Having a high quality supply chain that we can trust and rely on is fundamental to the success of the projects and services Robertson delivers.

“Together, we can build a future where innovation, efficiency, and excellence are the hallmarks of our collective achievements.”

Supply chain partners across the UK were nominated by the Robertson family of businesses, and after a thorough judging process by the Robertson Group board and supply chain team, eight category winners were selected for their outstanding contributions.

Subcontractor (Large) - sponsored by British Gypsum - went to Careys with judges commending the company’s class-leading approach to site set up. In the Subcontractor (SME) category - sponsored by National Timber - Secureshield took the top prize in a busy field, standing out for its ‘shared can-do work ethic’.

Dynamic Ground Solutions Ltd was named the Sustainable Trailblazer (sponsored by Wernick Hire Ltd), in particular for the ‘patented process and bespoke technology’ employed at a recent ground stabilisation project.

Innovator of the Year Award (sponsored by GAP Group) went to Orchid Sky for its work with Robertson Timber Engineering embracing new processes allowing RTE to now erect complete timber kits in one day.

A highly proactive approach demonstrating sound environmental performance helped Thompsons of Prudhoe Ltd win the Environment Best Practice Award (sponsored by Edmundson Electrical Ltd).

JJ Projects took the Outstanding Performance in Health & Safety award (sponsored by Bunzl Greenham) thanks to its efforts to embrace continual improvement in safety. The company’s environmental performance was also commended.

Impressive work from Kilmac Construction Ltd helped it win the Contribution to Social Value category (sponsored by CCF). Kilmac played a huge part in supporting site teams to deliver a positive impact within our communities, in particular offering placements for schools and colleges, and hiring five long-term unemployed people.

FES Ltd’s collaborative approach to work winning, with social impact commitments, its own carbon neutral status all went towards the company winning the Excellence through Collaboration Award (sponsored by Tri-Fix).
