A little bit of luxury
This project entailed the refurbishment of a historic stone-facade building dating back to the 1800s. In the heart of Stirling’s Old Town, close to Stirling Castle, the city-centre site is located in an area that’s bustling with tourists and local trade.
Rescuing a grand, old building
A traditional contract with a design team retained by the client and a significant Contractor's Design Portion, this project had run into difficulties prior to our involvement, having been started by two contractors that subsequently went into administration.
With the combination of an ageing building and some unorthodox work done before we came onto site, this was a challenging project that put the innovation and project management skills of our dedicated construction team to the test.
Following partial demolition, propping, structural alterations, rot eradication, re-slating, fit-out and external works, the building has now been rescued and transformed into a sumptuous, five-star boutique hotel that has proved a great success for our client.
