Summary
Delivering over 240 affordable homes to the kingdom of Fife
Fife Council’s Affordable Housing Programme is one of the largest in Scotland, with a target to build at least 3,500 new affordable homes over five years by 2022.
We delivered eight affordable housing developments for Fife Council, comprising a total of over 240 homes.
The Fife Affordable Housing Programme project was procured through Scape Group's National Major Works Framework. This has now been superseded by Major Works Scotland which is part of the National Construction framework and delivered by Robertson in partnership with Willmott Dixon.
We worked proudly in partnership with Fife Council, delivering hundreds of high-quality affordable homes which contribute to the identified demand for new homes in the region.
Station Road in Oakley was formerly a primary school. This development comprises 23 modern two-and three-bedroom bungalows, including amenity and wheelchair standard accommodation sleeping up to four or five people. Located within the residential space is a social hub and associated off-street parking available to residents.
Cullen Drive in Glenrothes is an example of a former brownfield site that will be regenerated. It sees a mix of high-quality, modern bungalows, wheelchair-accessible, amenity housing and two-storey homes – 78 in total. The sites include:
- Bruce Street, Kinghorn – affordable social rent;
- Main Street, Crombie – affordable social rent;
- Happer Crescent, Glenrothes – affordable social rent;
- Station Road, Oakley – 23 modern two-and three-bedroom bungalows;
