Increasing the commercial and industrial land offering

Robertson Civil Engineering has extended the existing Glenshellach Industrial Estate in Oban.

Our project included the construction of a new access road and site servicing of a two-acre site, along with the associated infrastructure required.

All site won materials, generated through excavation, were re-used as suitable fill within the new earthwork's embankment, therefore no arisings left the site as waste.

Precast Easi-Base manhole bases were successfully incorporated into the works saving significant time. SUDS provision came in the form of a 30m long attenuation ditch. Pre-cast concrete headwalls were used to form both the inlet and outfalls to the ditch. All other reinforced concrete items such as headwalls, flow control chambers and manholes were also precast off site.
