Crossing the finish line of the new hotel
After securing another multimillion-pound contract, the team at Robertson Central West have crossed the finish line on the new £10m, 118-room Hampton by Hilton hotel at Hamilton Park Racecourse, creating 20 new jobs and generating an extra £5.9m revenue per year for the customer.
The front-runner: Hampton by Hilton Hamilton Park
With planning approval granted by South Lanarkshire Council back in December 2017, the project got underway in May 2018, being completed August 2019.
Situated in Hamilton, the hotel marks the first hotel located at the renowned racecourse in its 90-year history and is set to generate an anticipated £5.9m in extra revenue per year.
As well as creating extra revenue, the hotel can host weddings and other events now that it is open.
"One of our main business objectives has been to welcome an event to Hamilton Park on at least every other day of the year, whether that's a race-day for thousands of visitors, a board meeting or that extra special wedding day.", adds Vivien.
Tried and tested
Having already built several Hilton Hotels on previous projects before, this gives the Central West team the advantage of knowing what is required before undertaking the development.
Ed Parry added: "Robertson has previously built two Hampton by Hilton hotels in Aberdeen and another in Leeds, so we know exactly what is required and that experience will prove invaluable in delivering a truly exceptional hotel. We will be combining traditional construction methods with modular techniques, which means we will be able to reduce build time without sacrificing quality."
Creating new jobs at Hamilton Park Racecourse
The new hotel at Hamilton Park creates 20 permanent jobs, doubling the current number of employees working at the venue.
Vivien Currie added: "We have a fantastic venue with unique grounds and first-class facilities that we continue to invest heavily in to ensure that we are meeting the constantly evolving expectations of our customers. The addition of the hotel will undoubtedly complement and expand the range of services we are able to offer."
