Investing in new schools for the future
The new facilities in Kinross were part of a £55 million investment programme jointly funded by the local authority and the Scottish Government, which also includes a new Tulloch Primary School and a new secondary school at Bertha Park in Perth, both constructed by Robertson Tayside in partnership with hub East Central Scotland.
Increasing primary school capacity
The new Kinross Primary School saw an increase in capacity to 566 pupils, featuring a dedicated nursery provision for 64 children. Along with 18 open-plan teaching zones within the school, we created a dedicated gym hall and separate dining facilities.
Improved school play areas and external infrastructure
Robertson Civil Engineering demolished the old Kinross Primary School and undertook all groundworks associated with the construction of the new school.
Associated external works were also carried. External play areas were transformed with a grass pitch and Multi Use Games Area (MUGA), along with outdoor teaching facilities and eco features. Improved pupil drop-off facilities and enhanced parking were also developed.
