An ongoing partnership with one of the UK's top-rated universities
With contracts to convert two teaching spaces into laboratory and research facilities, our strong relationship with Northumbria University, the highest-placed UK university in the latest global rankings*, continues.
Since our partnership began in 2016, we have completed multiple upgrade and refurbishment projects on the two Newcastle campuses. Working closely and flexibly with the Estates team, we create programmes that ensure on-time delivery and minimal disruption for the thousands of staff students, staff and visitors.
Completed projects:
- Ellison Laboratory (£170k, 6 months): Created specialist teaching laboratory and technician's office.
- Pandon Building (£1.5m, 7 months): Remodel and full refurbishment, providing a modern workspace and meeting rooms for university employees.
- Squires Building (£420k, 3 months): Modified entrances and internal quad area.
- Student Hub (£900k, 3 months): Designed and installed new external facade plus a full internal refurbishment.
- Library (£250k, 3 months): Refurbishment to create student skills centre.
The project team is currently redeveloping and upgrading two further spaces into laboratories with specialist equipment and ventilation, ready to support teaching and research excellence at Northumbria University.
